Morcom Rose Garden: Project Scope Report on Possible Improvements funded largely by EBRPD Measure WW Bond ? Comment by Tuesday, December 1, 2009
The Project Scope Report provides a schematic plan and cost estimates for 16 possible improvements to the Morcom Rose Garden. These were developed to provide more detail on projects that add wedding site(s); provide a unisex restroom and improve pathways to meet ADA requirements; address leaking irrigation and recirculation piping, and mosquito-prone still water; repair WPA-era walls at the Florentine Garden; install signage; etc. Please go here to view the Project Scope Report, then take this opportunity to provide your feedback. Please provide your priorities on the 16 projects and three options. Because the total cost of all the projects is likely to exceed the funding available through Measure WW and the Commission on Disabilities, some of these projects may have to be postponed/eliminated. Also, please note that some of the plantings called for above the Florentine Garden have already been installed.
Please send your comments to Project Manager Sandra Ousley here with a copy to Jennie Gerard here in Councilmember Kernighan?s office.
